BIOGRAPHY

Sara Havrlišan was born on October 13, 1986 in Slavonski Brod. She graduated from the “Matija Mesić” Grammar school in Slavonski Brod in 2005, and in the same year she enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod.

She completed the undergraduate university study of Production Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Technologies module), at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod in 2010 and earned the Bachelor of Engineering degree. On September 30, 2011 she graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod, defending her graduate thesis „Polymeric Nanocomposites” under the mentorship of prof. dr. sc. Pero Raos and earned the academic title of Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. In December 2017 she defended her PhD thesis “Stochastic approach to modelling and optimization of flame spraying” under the supervision of prof. dr. sc. Katica Šimunović.

During her studies, she received a state scholarship for gifted students in 2006, and in 2010 a scholarship from the National Foundation for the Support of Student Living Standard. She was awarded the Dean Award (2008) and in the academic year 2009/2010 she was the best graduate of the Department of Production Engineering.

Since January 26, 2018 she has been employed as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering (the Chair of Maintenance and Computer Integrated Manufacturing) at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod.

As part of CEEPUS mobility programme from April 13, 2015 to July 13, 2015 she conducted her professional practice at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, under the mentorship of prof. dr. sc. Đorđe Vukelić.

From April 4, 2016 to November 4, 2016 she visited the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad within the EUROWEB + project.

She participated in the implementation of two IPA IV projects: „e4 corner@mefsb: entrepreneurship in engineering education initiative - key to better employability“  and „Every learning counts”.

She is fluent in English language.
